Rev. A. L. Reynolds was admitted on trial into the Methodist Episcopal Church in the year 1911, and was received into full connection in the year 1913. Rev. Reynolds became an elder in the year 1915, served for thirty-two-(32) years, and retired in the year 1947, although he served for another five years after retirement. He died on August 17, 1963.

Rev. A.L. Reynolds, Sr. was the first Reynolds to serve the Methodist Church as a Minister of God, and he passed the cross to the forth generation, sons Clarence and A.L. Reynolds, Jr., of the Reynolds family to serve as Ministers of God.
